You can also look at the cost per ounce. If you pay $50 for a single ounce, then you’ll only be able to purchase 8 grams of weed.
Pounds Per Ounce
If you’d rather not spend money on ounces, you can always just go by the number of pounds. A standard joint weighs 0.5 g, so you’ll get five joints out of a pound.
But if you’re smoking weed for medical purposes, you might want to consider using grams per milliliter (mg/ml). One gram equals 1000 mg, so you’d get 5 ml of oil out of a pound. This is perfect for people who need a lot of THC.
How Much Weed Is In An Ounce?
An ounce of weed contains roughly 0.03125 lbs. If you’ve ever seen a scale that measures in pounds, you’ll know that this is pretty close to the actual amount.
So if you’re wondering how much weed is in an ounce, you can simply take the number of grams times the price per gram.
For example, let’s say you bought a pound of weed for 100 dollars. That would mean you’d get 1,000 grams. If you were to sell each gram for 20 dollars, you’d make $20,000.
